Test Knit: Rhubarb Stalk Socks

I always have at least two knitting projects going at once, but sometimes I see a test knit opportunity that I just can't pass up! In this case, I was actually happy to pause on that crazy lace shawl that I'm still working on... Ugh.

Pattern: Rhubarb Stalk Socks by Buckaloo View Designs
Yarn: Junkyarn Smooth Sock in Candace

I picked up this yarn without a purpose in mind, as I usually do, at Black Mountain Yarn Shop just because I liked the color. I first planned to use it for my Sunset Highway Sweater, but that didn't end up working.

There's a different approach for the left and right foot so that the rhubarb stalk is visible on the outside. Neat! I didn't like constantly using a cable needle on every other round, but I do love the way this looks.

I have some yarn leftover, so one day this will probably make its way into a shawl.
