Test Knit: Rhubarb Stalk Socks

I always have at least two knitting projects going at once, but sometimes I see a test knit opportunity that I just can't pass up! In this case, I was actually happy to pause on that crazy lace shawl that I'm still working on... Ugh.

Pattern: Rhubarb Stalk Socks by Buckaloo View Designs
Yarn: Junkyarn Smooth Sock in Candace

I picked up this yarn without a purpose in mind, as I usually do, at Black Mountain Yarn Shop just because I liked the color. I first planned to use it for my Sunset Highway Sweater, but that didn't end up working.

There's a different approach for the left and right foot so that the rhubarb stalk is visible on the outside. Neat! I didn't like constantly using a cable needle on every other round, but I do love the way this looks.

I have some yarn leftover, so one day this will probably make its way into a shawl.

  1. I love the color of this socks, very cheerful and cute!

  2. Right now it appears like Movable Type is the preferred blogging platform out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re using on your blog? Yhao baby socks
