Dad's 2018 Knit Christmas Socks

I did it, I did it! I miraculously finished my dad's socks before we left for Kentucky. I thought I was going to have to resort to car knitting. Phew.

Pattern: Hermione's Everyday Socks by Erica Lueder (Free on Ravelry)
Yarn: Unidentified scraps from my stash

I don't know what this main yarn is, but I believe it's from a batch of leftovers that my friend Emily mailed me. I combined it with a bit of scrap yarn I had leftover from another sock project. In other words, I have no idea what any of this is, but I hope my dad doesn't put these in the dryer like he has in the past.

This was my first time making a different color of toe, heel, and cuff. It's also the first time I worked a cuff-down sock two at a time using magic loop. I had to do some wiggling around once I got to the part where I picked up stitches for the foot, but overall it wasn't too bad. It's really handy when you have no idea if you'll run out of yarn. (Lesson learned from this little color-dipped sock I made not long ago.)
