For Fox Sake Knitted Sweater

I bought the yarn for this sweater for Alex's birthday back in April, but of course I knew he wouldn't be able to wear it until this winter. There were a few bumps along the road, like me running out of CC1 and the main color of yarn. I still have no idea what happened, but the sweater fits and all is well!

Pattern: For Fox Sake by Maxim Cyr
Yarn: The Farmer's Daughter Fibers Juicy DK in Eagle Eye, YOTH Big Sister in Rosemary (Main color), and madelinetosh Tosh DK in Nocturne and Stormborn

Melanie at Black Mountain Yarn Shop, along with my knitting BFF Sami, helped me pick the colors for the sweater. We had to mix a couple of brands to get the right shades.

The sweater is really heavy at the top where the colorwork is, so I sewed some twill tape at the shoulders to try and stabilize it a little bit. If it keeps pulling, I may eventually add tape along the back of the collar, too.

I worked on this sweater at knit night at Archetype Brewing. Knitting colorwork while chatting is sometimes doable, and knitting the body of the sweater is definitely fit for socializing.
