Ta Da! Finished Imposter Shawl from Creativebug

I'm notorious for starting knitting projects and never finishing them (the wrap sweater that's been sitting in my stash for ten years, for example). But I spotted the Imposter Shawl and something hit me.

I finished it in less than two weeks.

Yarn: Malabrigo Merino Worsted in Purple Mystery

The Malabrigo yarn has been hanging around my collection for at least five years, and I was determined to use it for something. I love the kettle-dyed color and how it varies across the stitches.

I already knew it was soft and great for winter because my friend Jessica made me a headband earwarmer out of the same yarn a few years ago. Since then, I've been a Malabrigo devotee.

I also love the holes created by yarn overs between each set of the basketweave stitches. It's yet another way to show off that lovely kettle-dyed color.

With this completed, it's time to start thinking about knitting holiday gifts. Eek!
